A large handwoven cotton ceremonial cloth from Sumba, Indonesia, decorated with stylised horses and geometric motifs in red, indigo, ochre and cream. Woven in two joined panels with fringed ends.
Early 20th century.
H 240 × W 120 cm, including fringe.
